Shortly thereafter thousands of students around the world joined her #FridaysforFuture protests, skipping class on Fridays to protest against climate change. Climate activists from all around the world coordinated the Global Strike for Climate. This Global Climate Strike was an enormous success. It was attended by more than 1.6 million people participated in 125 countries.
